Anti Plastic Campaign
Jaisalmer, being a tourist destination, faces excessive reliance on plastic, which poses a severe threat to Jaisalmer’s drainage system, health, and sanitation impacting the region’s ecosystem.
Cleanliness Drives
In 2013, the I Love Jaisalmer initiative began a restoration project at the Jaisalmer Fort, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Awareness Programs
To ensure the success of the cleanliness programs, various community awareness initiatives were conducted in educational institutions and local communities in Jaisalmer.
Water Project
launched by the Deshpande Foundation and implemented in Rajasthan by Dhun and The I Love Foundation, farm ponds focuses on community rainwater harvesting to boost the resilience of local farming
Ecological Regeneration
In 2017, the I Love Foundation began the 'Greening Jaisalmer' initiative at Gadisagar Lake, a popular tourist spot in Jaisalmer, planting 1,400 native trees around the lake with the help of 900 locals. They also planted 1,100 trees in local schools and hospitals that year.
