In 1985, I visited India, including Jaisalmer, for the first time, and my connection with the country began. During Covid, I was introduced to The I Love Foundation and have since supported various initiatives- Jaisalmer Fights Covid, support to folk artists- Manganiyars, providing clean drinking water in Govt. Schools, creating smart classrooms at the Govt. Girls College Jaisalmer. Women's empowerment and improving female literacy, which I believe are vital for our future, are key focuses of my involvement. Working with the Foundation over the last three years has shown me that they are truly empowering communities while preserving their identity and environment.

I have been associated with I Love Jaisalmer's projects related to afforestation at Gadisar & Dedansar ponds. Also as one of the hosts in Dine with Jaisalmer programme organized during Desert Festival. All these efforts of I Love Jaisalmer which involved different section of local society for the cause of their environment and culture gave a long-lasting impression. Dine with Jaisalmer gave tourists a chance to taste some authentic local food and to see local edible rare food items by meeting local people, a trust off the baten track experience.

Receiving a scholarship for higher education from I Love Jaisalmer enabled me to commute 45 km daily from Mokhla to Jaisalmer, which in turn fueled my pursuit of civil services. Today, I proudly hold the rank of an NCC cadet. These experiences collectively bolstered my confidence, leading me to actively volunteer in youth-driven initiatives like cleanliness drives at tourist spots and participate in the desert festival with I Love Jaisalmer.

Jaisalmer's pristine beauty owes much to 'I Love Jaisalmer,' which diligently upholds its cleanliness and charm with unwavering honesty. The organization's commendable efforts in women's empowerment and girls' education are praiseworthy, and we hope for their continued success in the future.

These workshops, in the past, gave students a unique opportunity to engage in out-of-the-box thinking while collaborating with esteemed scientists from IIT. Having been involved with I Love Jaisalmer for three years, I have had the opportunity to witness their dedicated efforts towards rural transformation, particularly in providing access to clean drinking water, plantations and science outreach programs. During the challenging times of the COVID-19 pandemic, I Love Jaisalmer extended its support to remote communities in Jaisalmer that were in dire need. The hosting of the Dine with Jaisalmer event during the Desert festival on two occasions gave an opportunity to host tourists with immersive cultural experiences. Notably, since 2021, I Love Jaisalmer has been organizing 'Dine with Jaisalmer,' which has facilitated a rewarding cultural exchange by welcoming tourists including journalists, media professionals, and photographers.

Amidst the pandemic, Jaisalmer, lacking in medical resources, struggled to care for the infected. 'I Love Jaisalmer' came to our rescue, selflessly providing vital equipment and resources for treatment, putting their own safety on the line.
