Started in 2013, I Love Jaisalmer is one of the most active units of The I Love Foundation where over 60 community projects have been successfully launched and executed.
Started the rural women employment program — ‘Market Place Connect’ — to empower rural women by integrating traditional arts into the modern marketplace. Centred on Jaisalmer's traditional craft of Kashidakari, the initiative trains and employs 30 women, promoting their economic independence.
Water Resilience
Partnered with Dhun and Deshpande Foundation to launch ‘Build a Pond’ — a community rainwater harvesting initiative aimed to boost water resilience among farming communities in peri-urban Jaipur. Constructed 30 farm ponds, each capable of collecting 2.5 million litres of rain water annually, resulting in sustainable irrigation solutions.

Digital Cultural Archive
Launched the Art and Design Digital Archive (AD+DA) in collaboration with Asian Heritage Foundation and Dhun, to digitally preserve South Asia's rich heritage of art and craft, promote cultural understanding and ensure the longevity of these treasures for future generations.
Makerspace in Jaipur
Supported Dhun to set up Makerspace, a community tinkering lab, to promote self-directed learning and problem-solving,driving empowerment and reshaping the community's educational landscape.
Ecological restoration with Dhun Jaipur
Partnered with Dhun for innovative ecological initiatives including community plantations and the creation of a bio-reserve around Dhun, a suburb of Jaipur.
Clean Drinking Water
Installed water purifiers and rainwater harvesting systems, benefiting over 3,000 students across 25 schools to address clean drinking water challenges in government schools.
Youth Empowerment
Offered a variety of opportunities for the youth of Jaisalmer to enhance their education and improve job prospects, including 21st-century skills training, scholarships, smart classrooms, volunteer programs, and hospitality apprenticeships.

Experiential Learning
Launched hands-on science and art outreach programs to nurture artistic creativity and scientific curiosity among rural students outside of traditional laboratory settings.
COVID-19 Infrastructure
Established COVID-19 infrastructure in Jaisalmer, ensuring rapid access to oxygen concentrators and cylinders. Distributed 103 concentrators to 43 remote locations in Jaisalmer and other parts of Rajasthan within 30 days. Additionally, we set up an oxygen plant at the Pokhran Community Health Centre, benefitting 28,000 residents, and delivered food kits to 630 marginalised families across 21 villages.
Cultural Tourism
To connect tourists with locals for cultural and culinary experiences, we launched "Dine with Jaisalmer" during the Desert Festival. This unique initiative, developed with the District Administration, encourages visitors to explore Jaisalmer's rich culture beyond traditional tourist routes.
Citizen-Airline Partnership
Conceptualised and launched India’s first citizen-airline partnership, bringing together Jaisalmer’s citizens and District Administration to support an airline with a plan to fill the viability gap on the Jaisalmer route. This initiative aimed to restart flights with an 80% passenger load.

Jaisalmera
Launched ‘Jaisalmera - My City My Responsibility,’ a student-led cleanliness campaign aimed at fostering a sense of ownership and encouraging responsible tourism practices among students.
Infrastructure for Girls’ Education
The I Love Foundation supported the Rajkumari Ratnawati School, established by the CITTA Foundation in 2018, to educate over 400 girls in Jaisalmer's Thar Desert, where female literacy is just 35%. The school also includes a women's cooperative, a library, a museum, and a performance space.
Greening Jaisalmer
The community-led environmental regeneration project in Jaisalmer began with a plantation initiative to protect the catchment area of Gadisagar, the city’s largest artificial lake and a tourist hotspot. It then expanded to other tourist spots, the airport, schools, colleges, pastures, villages, and hospitals.

Promoting Border Tourism
TILF promoted Indo-Pak border tourism campaigns with BSF, District Administration and Rajasthan Tourism. Jaisalmer boasts of three well-known border tourist sites that are frequented by over 60% of the national tourists visiting the region.

Building Healthcare
From rehabilitation for individuals involved in life-threatening accidents to blood donation and eye check-up camps, TILF has expanded its reach to various 'One Health' initiatives including COVID support, the revitalisation of rural health centers, animal ambulance, health awareness campaigns, and HPV vaccinations.

Air connectivity for Jaisalmer
To connect Jaisalmer with the rest of the world, we started campaigns with the local community to launch the civil airport in Jaisalmer, leading to its starting airport operations in 2017.
2014
Jaisalmer Fort drainage
Through policy, advocacy, and awareness, TILF influenced Infrastructure improvement works at Jaisalmer Fort — the only living fort and A UNESCO World Heritage Site. The initiative facilitated Rajasthan Urban Infrastructure Development Project (RUIDP) to revise Jaisalmer Fort drainage, sewerage work, water supply, and electric cables layouts.
2013
Jaisalmer’s largest cleanliness drive
The I Love Foundation's flagship unit, I Love Jaisalmer, led a transformative initiative engaging 5,000+ locals in a massive cleanliness campaign at Jaisalmer Fort. 450,000 square feet of sloped area and 180,000 square feet of ramparts were restored, reviving 80% of the fort's streets and communal spaces.

These objectives align with the Government of India–United Nations Sustainable Development Cooperation Framework (GoI–UNSDCF) 2023–2027 and its pillars - People, Prosperity, Planet, and Participation.
