Anti Plastic Campaign

STATUS

LOCATION

YEAR
2016
Jaisalmer, being a tourist destination, faces excessive reliance on plastic, which poses a severe threat to Jaisalmer’s drainage system, health, and sanitation impacting the region’s ecosystem.

I Love Jaisalmer’s film-based project inspired local tea sellers to ditch plastic cups, and local shopkeepers, and restaurants to use cloth bags. The foundation distributed free earthen cups to promote sustainable alternatives. The campaign quickly gained popularity, leading to a shift in behavior among locals. Building up on the initiative, this drive is further taken up under Jaisalmera- My City My Responsibility.
